"To
See The Night Sky"
By Lynn C. Johnston and
Samuel E. Johnston
To
see the night sky
Breathless beauty from afar
Clouds gently part the heavens
To reveal a twinkling star
By
night, the star shines brightly
Giving hope to all who pray
And hang their hopes upon it
Tomorrow will bring a better day
But
by morning light, the star is gone
Hidden by the pale blue sky
And all the hope of last night's dream
Valiantly struggles not to die
At
last, the daylight fades
And the star boldly reappears
It twinkles as if saying
I was always here
Constant
in the heavens
Stars remind me to believe
That dreams obscured by daylight
Need faith and time to be achieved
